David Raum - Will miss cup match Raum will miss Sunday's DFB Pokal match against Rodinghausen as he's recovering from a calf injury.

Impact Raum would be an important loss if he can't play Aug. 6 against Borussia Monchengladbach but this cup game shouldn't be as big of a worry as long the team advances. If he can't play for any reason, Pavel Kaderabek could take his place on the left flank.

Impact Bebou would be a bigger loss if he's also unavailable for the Aug. 6 opener against Monchengladbach after scoring seven league goals last season. There are a few different options who could fill Bebou's place in the lineup, including Robert Skov and Jacob Bruun Larsen though neither are as producive.

Impact It's unclear how long Bicakcic might be out but it's not ideal to need more recovery time a week away from the season-opener Aug. 6 against Borussia Monchengladbach. He made just one appearance in all of last season so don't expect too much until he's actually on the field in a competitive game.

Impact Geiger ended last season hurt with a shin injury and now could begin the new campaign out if he's unable to overcome this infection within the next week. He scored twice and logged two assists in 20 appearances (17 starts) and should be able to play some kind of regular role if he can stay fit. Diadie Samassekou could fill Geiger's spot in central-midfield if a replacement is needed by the Aug. 6 opener against Borussia Monchengladbach.

Impact Vogt made 30 appearances on his way to 2,570 minutes played in the Bundesliga. The defender had struggled for playing time due to injuries during the 2020/21 season, but showed no signs of being injury prone during the 2021/22 campaign. While the rest of Hoffenheim dealt with a variety of injuries Vogt was able to shine in a major role once more, leading the defense throughout the season, as well as adding two assists. Vogt should be a veteran leader in the Hoffenheim defense once more in the 2022/23 season.

Angelo Stiller - Impressive debut season Stiller made 26 appearances (18 starts), scoring twice and providing one assist in the Bundesliga.

Impact Stiller joined Hoffenheim from Munich in the summer and made an immediate impact. The midfielder played 1,691 minutes, taking a major role in the starting XI originally due to injuries ahead of him on the depth chart. His quality in the center of the pitch earned him the spot even with everyone healthy as he started the final four matches of the season, ending the year with 30 tackles and 15 chances created. Stiller will hope to build on this campaign in 2022/23, where Stiller could be in line for a starting role from day one.

Impact Samassekou maintained his role in defensive midfield throughout the 2021/22 season, though he only made 24 appearances due to AFCON and a variety of minor injuries. The midfielder is one of the more consistent starters for Hoffenheim and finds himself on the pitch more often than not. Rutter's role is set to expand heading into the 2022/23 season and if he can keep this efficiency going he could be set for a major breakout, especially with a healthier supporting cast surrounding him.

Raum showed no signs of slowing down and will be one of the top left-backs in Germany in 2022/23.

Impact Posch produced yet another stable season for Hoffenheim. The defender has established himself as one of the few consistent options for the team, and despite being saddled with a variety of defensive partners still produced a strong season. Posch will be right back at the center of the defense for Hoffenheim in the 2022/23 season, as he looks for yet another solid season with over 2,000 minutes played.

Geiger will hope to grow his role even more heading into the 2022/23 off-season as he faces a race to be fit before the beginning of the season.
