Impact Cissoko took a step backwards in usage during his sophomore season in MLS, making just 10 appearances (five starts) as Jackson Ragen overtook him as the preferred backup in central defense. The 22-year-old has a year left on his contract and will want to prove himself worthy of more opportunities in 2023.

Impact Cissoko was busy in this one, leading all players on the pitch in tackles while also pacing his side in interceptions. Unfortunately, he also made a rather poor play on a Luciano Acosta through-ball in the 24th minute, which resulted in FC Cincinnati's only goal of the evening. While his team trailed 1-0, he subbed off in the 55th minute for a more offensive-minded Cristian Roldan.

Impact Cissoko did his job in the shootout against Salt Lake but his side was bounced in the first round. The 21-year-old kept three clean sheets in 15 appearances (12 starts) for Seattle during his first season in MLS, and he will be looking to improve and to play more consistently heading into 2022.
