Impact Benedyczkak was an option after sitting out all the previous matches due to an off-season surgery but will have to wait to make his seasonal debut. He can feature in multiple positions but has to compete with regulars Ange-Yoan Bonny, Gabriel Charpentier, Matteo Cancellieri and Valentin Mihaila.

Returning from major injury Benedyczak (ankle) "will be called up and could play a few minutes versus Empoli taking into consideration how long he's been on the shelf," coach Fabio Pecchia informed.

Impact Benedyczak will be available for the first time in the season as he completed his rehab from ankle surgery. He tallied 11 goals and three assists in 32 games last season while playing either as a left winger or as a striker.

Recovering from surgery Benedyczak underwent ankle surgery after the end of last season and is expected to return in late September or early October, La Gazzetta dello Sport informed.

Impact Benedyczak played through an injury during their bid to get promoted and went under the knife when they sealed it in May. Valentin Mihaila, Gabriel Charpentier and Anthony Partipilo will absorb his playing time in the early going.
