Signs for Loons Benitez joined Minnesota United from Cerro Porteno. He's signed a two and a half-year contract with the Loons.
Impact Benitez fills a whole in the depth chart left by Romain Metanire (hamstring), who's been hurt most of the season. He hasn't played too much over the last two seasons but did participate in six matches during the 2022 Copa Libertadores. With 11 assists over the course of his career, Benitez has the potential to offer solid value at right-back and challenge D.J. Taylor for minutes over the rest of the present campaign.
