Option accepted Coello will be back with Toronto for 2025 after his contract option was picked up.

Impact Coello played a major role during his second year with Toronto, and clearly showed enough to have his option picked up. The midfielder made 25 appearances (20 starts) and added a goal and pair of assists. Coello should continue to see more minutes in 2025.

Back for Toronto Coello had one cross (one accurate) and one chance created in Saturday's 2-1 victory over Austin FC.

Impact Coello is back after missing the last three and a half months with a hamstring injury. He was able to start and play 59 minutes in the midfield, recording two interceptions with one won tackle. The midfielder will remain in the lineup for the club after totaling 17 starts in 20 appearances during his second year up north.

Impact Coelle was forced off in the first half of Saturday's tilt, only making it 39 minutes before being pulled off the field with an apparent hamstring issue. This is a brutal turn for the midfielder, as he is a regular starter, only having missed four starts all campaign. He will now miss three to four weeks, with Matthew Longstaff being his likely replacement until fit again.

Impact The return of Coello, who needed to clear the concussion protocol to be eligible for this contest, should add some much-needed depth in midfield for Toronto FC. Coello is now expected to be available for Saturday's road match at Orlando, and given he's started in seven of the eight MLS matches he's been available for, it wouldn't be shocking if he returns to the lineup right away despite the quick turnaround.

Impact Coello is set to miss his first match of the season, as he has picked up a concussion over the past week. This will cause some changes among the starting side, as he has gotten the start in seven of the club's eight matches this season, with the formation most likely changing back to a 3-4-3 with Jahkeele Marshall-Rutty entering the starting XI on the right flank. Coelle will now hope to get out of concussion protocol during the upcoming week, looking to be considered an option for the match against Orlando on April 27.
