Impact Herrera missed Athletic's second PK in the game in the 58th minute and could've given his side the lead in the second half. The midfielder had a good defensive outing, though, leading them with a season-high five clearances. He also logged his most tackles (three) so far.

Impact Herrera returned from a groin injury for the final 15 minutes off the bench. The midfielder hasn't been a major contributor in the starting XI, but seems to be fit once more, opening the door for a consistent role off the bench after the international break.

Dealing with adductor injury Herrera suffered an adductor injury following Thursday's match against Roma and should be considered questionable to face Sevilla on Sunday.

He has now started in two straight contests, registering one assist on one chance created to go along with two shots, three tackles won and three clearances during that span.

Impact Herrera came on after 66 minutes Saturday for Yeray Alvarez. The attacking midfielder was introduced to try and bring some fresh energy to Athletic as they sought to come back from behind to get something from the game. He worked hard but only managed to contribute one shot, three accurate long crosses in offensive actions, and two tackles in support of defense. The Spanish veteran is usually deployed from the bench and has not produced an assist since January.
