Antoine Griezmann is expected to return to Atletico Madrid’s lineup in the Champions League match against Inter Milan on Wednesday after recovering from an ankle injury

Training once more Griezmann (ankle) took part in training Tuesday and is expected to return for Wednesday's clash with Inter.

Impact Griezmann was active during Tuesday's session as well as Monday's and was listed among those likely to return by manager Diego Simeone. Griezmann could even be thrown straight back into the starting XI to try and lead the come back.

Trains with no issues Monday Griezmann took part in full training Monday and could be an option to face Inter Milan on Wednesday, according to El Desmarque.

Impact Griezmann returned to training last week but was able to complete Monday's session with no problems, so now manager Diego Simeone will ultimately decide whether to play him or not in what represents Atletico's biggest game of the campaign so far. Griezmann has been out since Feb. 20, but he's been excellent when available, racking up 16 goals and six assists across 31 appearances between La Liga and the Champions League.

Impact Griezmann could miss the next few matches with an ankle sprain.
