Impact Rudiger has had to step it up in these first couple of matches of the season, taking over as Real Madrid's main central defender due to the injury of Eder Militao. He was most likely set to start most of the matches this season anyway after starting in 26 of Madrid's 38 matches last season but will see even more time and have a bigger role due to Militao's absence. Rudiger hasn't been terrible to start the season but also hasn't been amazing, notching one interception, three tackles, and 11 clearances this season.
