Arteta responds to 'dark arts' taunts by Man City as injuries mount for Arsenal
Arsenal manager Mikel Arteta has bristled at suggestions his team used “dark arts” in the feisty English Premier League match at Manchester CitySEPTEMBER 24 • ASSOCIATED PRESS
Oleksandr Zinchenko - Out a few weeks Zinchenko is expected to miss a few more weeks of action due to his calf injury, according to manager Mikel Arteta. "I think he will still be out for a few weeks unfortunately."
Impact Zinchenko will remain on the sideline for a bit longer, as after already missing three matches, he is now expected to be out a few more weeks. A return won't come until mid-october, possibly even sitting out until after the October international break. The left-back will hope to be back on the field as soon as possible, as he continues to drop down the depth chart due to his absence, with his club having plenty of talented options to play full-back. That said, even once he is healthy, he will likely reside on the bench and need to earn his spot back in the starting XI.

Martin Odegaard - Could return in October Odegaard (ankle) may only be out "a matter of weeks," according to manager Mikel Arteta and is hopeful to play around the next international break.
Impact Arteta is always one for cryptic injury updates and it's been no different on Odegaard, who seems guaranteed to miss the next month of action. That means roughly three more league matches and a couple more in Champions League play. In Odegaard's absence, Arteta has changed things up a couple times in his XI with Kai Havertz player deeper at times to going in a full 4-4-2 in certain matchups like the Man CIty one.

David Raya - Brilliant to salvage point Raya recorded nine saves and allowed two goals in Sunday's 2-2 draw against Manchester City.
Impact Raya stopped nine of the 11 shots he faced and earned a draw in one of the performances of the season. He nearly did enough to come away with the win as well, before a late John Stones goal broke Arsenal hearts. Raya has been one of the top options in the league since moving to Arsenal and figures to be an elite option moving forward.

Gabriel Martinelli - Assists for draw Martinelli assisted once to go with two crosses (one accurate) and two chances created in Sunday's 2-2 draw against Manchester City.
Impact Martinelli has been inconsistent in recent months, but he provided a huge assist during Sunday's massive draw at the top of the table. Martinelli will need to fight for a continued starting role with other options in the team competing behind him. Still at his best Martinelli is an excellent option on the left wing and should continue to be a top option when in the starting XI.

Bukayo Saka - Assists Sunday Saka assisted once to go with three crosses (two accurate) and two corners in Sunday's 2-2 draw against Manchester City.
Impact Saka was back on the scoresheet with an assist during Sunday's draw, though he was brought off straight after half time. The winger had to be brought off as Arsenal went down to 10 players, but his impact was still excellent in the first half. Saka remains one of the top wingers in the Premier League in all competitions.

Impact Calafiori scored an absolute beauty that proved to be a crucial goal to salvage the draw. The defender had to be brought off in the second half, but it seems he may have avoided a serious injury as he came into the match carrying a knock. Calafiori has plenty of upside, even as a more defensively-minded full-back.

Impact Gabriel got free at the back post from a set corner routine and made no mistake in scoring a huge goal. The center-back isn't a major offensive threat, but he has some of the best clean sheet chances in any match and he does have occasional goal upside. Gabriel will be busy across all competitions, but should be a consistent starting piece.

However, it is now known he wasn't fully fit, as he wasn't supposed to appear despite coming on at halftime to stabilize their defense after dropping to 10 men. He will likely return to the starting XI in their next match after seeing time Sunday, as his injury doesn't appear to be serious and he will now have until Saturday to recover.
