Kai Havertz - Completes Arsenal move Havertz has signed a long-term contract with Arsenal after transferring from Chelsea, the club announced Wednesday. Impact Havertz's time with Chelsea was a mixed bag as he tallied 32 goals and 15 assists in 139 appearances in all competitions for the club, including the winner over Manchester City in the 2021 Champions League Final, but he never hit the heights that his potential suggested when he joined from Bayer Leverkusen back in Summer 2020. The versatile 24-year-old is now moving across London to join last season's EPL runners-up Arsenal, where he is rumored to be replacing Granit Xhaka in a sort of "free No. 8" role alongside Martin Odegaard. If such a withdrawn role in midfield doesn't end up suiting Havertz, he will still be able to provide excellent cover for Gabriel Jesus, Bukayo Saka, Gabriel Martinelli and Leandro Trossard all across the attacking line.
