Impact Heaton joined Villa before the 2019/20 campaign with plans to be the team's No. 1. That worked for the most part, as he started the first 20 matches that season, but a torn ACL derailed those plans. He wasn't completely fit until December 2020 and by that time, Emiliano Martinez had taken over. Heaton is 35 years old and his days of being a Premier League goalkeeper may be over.

Impact Konsa got a couple starts at right-back, but he's a natural center-back and will only play wide if needed. He won the job next to Tyrone Mings this season and that led to two goals and 12 clean sheets in 35 starts. For now, he looks like the preferred option over Kortney Hause.

It's unknown what role Elmohamady has in the future, as he often struggles on the defensive end.

Ollie Watkins - Creates chance in finale Watkins had one chance created and one tackle won in Sunday's win against Chelsea.
Impact Watkins didn't get a ton of opportunities in the final match of the season, but his presence allowed Villa to secure two goals and the win. He had an awesome first season with Villa and in the Premier League, totaling 14 goals, five assists, 97 shots and 45 chances created in 37 starts. The question is if he'll lose playing time now that Wesley Moraes is healthy.

Impact Mings started all but two matches this season, one because of injury and the other a red card. He's been awesome for Villa since struggling for time at Bournemouth, having compiled 69 starts the last two seasons, accruing two goals and two assists in each campaign. Maybe more important are the 14 clean sheets in 36 starts this past season.

Impact McGinn effectively improved across the board as he scored the same number of goals over two seasons while taking less shots and provided more assists with fewer crosses. Heading into the Euros for Scotland and the coming season, his value is definitely better if he's positioned in a more attacking role, though his defensive production does plenty to boost his scoring floor in fantasy.
