Emilano Martinez - Puts together strong showing Martinez made five saves and conceded three goals during the 3-2 loss to Crystal Palace on Sunday.
Impact Martinez was tremendous in the loss Sunday. If not for the keeper, Villa would have been trounced on by Palace. He made save after save and many of them were high-danger attempts on net. Although he has conceded three goals twice in his past three appearances, he has also made 14 saves in that span with a clean sheet as well. Martinez has been a revelation for Aston Villa in net and he is a great option due to his shear number of saves per game.

Impact Traore was efficient once again in the loss. The winger returned to his majority role on set-pieces which helped boost his value. He also set up a few teammates for perfect chances but nothing could come of it. The only worrisome trend that continued was the lack of opportunities created from the flank. Outside of his set-pieces, Traore did not have a single cross to his name and he only has three crosses in his past four appearances. Nevertheless, he is still a crucial piece to the success of Villa.

Impact Watkins was surprisingly not as effective as he normally is as the main striker. Averaging 2.6 shots per 90 minutes, Watkins was certainly out of his place. However, he did use his physical presence more often than not to set up chances for teammates. Eventually he had a tremendous head flick that sat perfectly for Anwar El Ghazi to finish off. Watkins will remain the starting striker and now that the rust is off from his one-game suspension, he will have two final games, one at Tottenham and the other at home against Chelsea to finish the season.

Impact McGinn who typically plays a more defensive-mid role, was elevated into the number 10 role in the loss. The midfielder continued to compile tackles in bunches as well. He is one of the better all-around midfielders in the league and when he is given the chance to push further up the field he does not disappoint. His performance was highlighted by an outstanding goal that showcased his patience, composure and placement from outside the box. McGinn does not always hit value, but if you are in need of a versatile midfielder, he is a great option.

Impact El Ghazi was one of the better players for Villa in their tough loss Sunday. The winger made his fifth straight start and he split set-piece duty with teammate Bertrand Traore. El Ghazi has been in great form and he has produced well over the past five appearances. In that time he has scored three goals, taken 17 shots, created five chances, sent 19 crosses and taken four corners. Until he cools off, there is no reason to not play him.
