Impact Sanson only made one appearance over the first half of the season and will need to regain his fitness soon if he's to stick with Villa long-term. The league will return Dec. 26 against Liverpool for Sanson.

Jacob Ramsey - Misses friendly Thursday Ramsey missed Thursday's friendly against Villarreal due to an undisclosed injury, according to the Ashley Preece of the Birmingham Mail.
Impact Ramsey has evidently picked up an injury during the midseason break and it's uncertain when he may return. He now has until the Dec. 26 Boxing Day match against Liverpool to make that happen and under manager Unai Emery, Leon Bailey could take his place in the lineup as needed. Before the World Cup, Ramsey scored two goals and provided two assists in 15 appearances (12 starts).
