Franco Ibarra - Comes off bench in season finale Ibarra subbed in for the final half hour or so of Sunday's match against NYCFC and he won one of one tackles in the 2-1 defeat.

Impact Ibarra made 20 appearances (11 starts) this season for Atlanta, and he recorded his first assist in MLS against Toronto back in June. The 21-year-old faces plenty of competition in defensive midfield at the club -- Santiago Sosa, Matheus Rossetto and Amar Sejdic to name a few -- but he could continue to develop and improve in 2023.

Amar Sejdic - Solid defensively in season finale Sejdic made a block and two interceptions in Sunday's 2-1 defeat against NYCFC.

Impact Sejdic had a personal best campaign in 2022, making 23 appearances (18 starts) for Atlanta and recording his first ever MLS assist against Toronto in September. There's plenty of competition in Atlanta's midfield if the squad can stay healthy moving forward however, so it's possible the 25-year-old goes on the move during the offseason.

Matheus Rossetto - Plays first half of season finale Rossetto started and played the first half of Sunday's season finale defeat against NYCFC.

Impact Sunday was Rossetto's first start since recovering from an ankle injury he suffered in early August, but the 26-year-old ends the campaign with 24 appearances (19 starts) overall in defensive midfield. He also assisted his first goal in MLS against RSL in July.

Michael Ambrose - Barely featuring for Atlanta Ambrose totaled just 44 minutes in MLS this season with two appearances off the bench.

Impact Ambrose has made just six league appearances (one start) since returning to Atlanta from Inter Miami before the 2021 season, and the 29-year-old doesn't seem to have much of a future with the club.

Aiden McFadden - Used sparingly for end of season McFadden was not involved in Sunday's season finale defeat against NYCFC.

Impact McFadden made 11 MLS appearances (eight starts) at right-back for Atlanta's senior team while Brooks Lennon and Ronald Hernandez were both injured over the summer, but the 24-year-old returned to the bench once they returned to fitness and may be back with the reserve team in 2023.

Impact Hernandez kept one clean sheet in 13 MLS appearances (11 starts) at right-back this season, perhaps not the step up from last season that many expected even accounting for a two-month absence in the summer with an MCL injury. The 25-year-old should still be considered Brooks Lennon's backup in the position heading into 2023.

Brooks Lennon - Creates chance in season finale Lennon had three accurate crosses and created a chance in Sunday's 2-1 defeat against NYCFC.

Impact A summer MCL sprain interrupted Lennons' campaign, but he still ended up with two goals, six assists (a new personal record) and four clean sheets across 25 MLS appearances (22 starts) this season, splitting time fairly evenly between right-back and the right wing in a front-three. The 25-year-old remains one of Atlanta's most consistent performers despite some of their recent flashier signings.

Caleb Wiley - Has solid debut season in Atlanta Wiley subbed into Sunday's season finale against NYCFC for the final five minutes or so and won one of one tackles in the 2-1 defeat.

Impact Wiley was promoted from Atlanta United's academy and he made 26 appearances (18 starts) during his debut season in MLS, scoring a goal in his debut against Sporting KC and then recording an assist against Columbus in August. The 17-year-old will likely continue developing in 2023 and may not get as much playing time at left-back or on the left wing if the senior team can stay healthier than it did this season, but there's a lot to be excited about with Wiley's potential for the future.

Alexandro De John - Limited role for Atlanta De John was not involved in Sunday's season finale defeat against NYCFC.

Impact De John made five MLS appearances (four starts) for Atlanta United this season in central defense, most of which came during the peak of the side's injury crisis in May. The 31-year-old is very far down the depth chart and is unlikely to see much playing time if he resigns for 2023.

George Campbell - Benched for end of season Campbell played just one minute in MLS from August through Sunday's season finale.

Impact Campbell kept three clean sheets in 20 MLS appearances (16 starts) this season, but he featured just once in the final two months of the campaign as Juan Jose Purata and even Andrew Gutman overtook him in the center-back depth chart. The 21-year-old Campbell is still likely to be regarded mostly as a backup option in 2023 once Miles Robinson (achilles) returns from injury.

Impact Atlanta struggled as a team in 2022 but Franco remains one of the first names in the XI as he tallied a goal, two assists and five clean sheets in 31 MLS appearances (all starts) from central defense this campaign. Miles Robinson (achilles) should return from injury by the start of next season to be his partner once again.

Impact Almada ended his season Sunday with a lovely flicked pass to assist an Andrew Gutman goal against New York City. The 21-year-old finished with six goals and seven assists in 29 appearances (25 starts) mostly from somewhere in midfield during his rookie MLS campaign, and he earned his first cap for the Argentina National Team in September.
