Julio Cascante - Extends contract with Austin Cascante (calf) has signed a three-year contract extension with the option to further add an additional year with Austin FC, the club announced Tuesday.
Impact Cascante tallied five goals, three assists and eight clean sheets across 66 MLS appearances (61 starts) in central defense during his first two seasons in Austin, and the 29-year-old has now signed on to remain at the club through the 2025 campaign at least. He suffered a severe calf strain in this campaign's opening match that will sideline him for another few weeks at least, with Alexander Ring replacing him alongside Leo Vaisanen in the back line.
