Roque should see regular minutes at the Benito Villamarin, and he'll return to Barcelona in the summer of 2025.

Impact Silva didn't have a lot of work throughout the match, and to be fair, it would be a stretch to blame him for the goal he conceded in the second half. Silva should see the bulk of time between the posts if he stays healthy, and he'll probably remain in the XI when Betis take on Alaves on Aug. 25.

Impact The lack of depth upfront forced manager Manuel Pellegrini to improvise in the attack, leading to Ruibal playing as a striker despite being a winger through most of his career. Ruibal was threatening at times, but he didn't look comfortable in a central role. It's unclear if he'll keep his place in the XI when Betis take on Alaves on Aug. 25.

Impact Fekir played as a central attacking midfielder in a 4-2-3-1 approach and pulled the strings in midfield, so it wasn't surprising to see him set up the team's lone goal with a perfect cross that was nodded home by Marc Bartra. There's a strong chance Fekir will move to a wider role once Isco (leg) is ready to return, but as long as Fekir is healthy, he should a regular in the XI while providing value in the final third with his creativity.

Marc Bartra - Heads home goal Bartra scored one goal to go with one shot (one on goal) in Thursday's 1-1 draw against Girona.

Impact Bartra missed most of the 2023/24 season with injuries, but he's determined to secure a regular starting role in a defensive line that saw plenty of changes during the transfer window. Bartra made his presence felt on both ends of the pitch, as he scored Betis' lone goal with a perfect header following a cross from Nabil Fekir. As long as Bartra remains healthy, there's a decent chance he'll remain in the starting lineup, especially with how good he looked in this contest.

Impact Bakambu was originally thought to have been set for a return in early September but that has now changed with the player likely out a further month and not returning until the end of September. This will be a tough loss for the club, as they are already struggling in the attacking department and will now be without a forward for the first month and a half of the season. His last season was heavily hindered by injuries, so he will hope to avoid that this season with a clean return to play.

Isco - Out for season opener Isco (leg) is out for Thursday's match against Girona, according to Alvaro Palomo of Estadio Deportivo.

Impact Isco didn't reach his goal after claiming he would be fit for the start of the campaign, as he has yet to train fully with the group and will miss their season opener. However, with his having yet to join the group for training, he is expected to miss even more time, with a return before September likely unfeasible. That said, he will look to return in around two to three weeks, but the club has claimed they will not rush the player to be cautious, as he is an important part of the team after registering 13 goal contributions last campaign.

Ricardo Rodriguez - Completes Real Betis move Rodriguez has completed a move to join Real Betis on a two-year contract until the end of the 2025/26 season.

Impact Rodriguez will add some much-needed experience and versatility to Betis' defensive line, and he will fill two needs at once, as he can play both as a center-back and left-back with equal ease. Rodriguez has spent most of his career in the Bundesliga and Serie A, and he joins Betis after spending the last four seasons with Torino, where he logged at least 30 starts in each of the past two campaigns.

German Pezzella - Will return to training soon Pezzella has yet to return to training and will join Betis for pre-season duties after the team's tour in the United States, manager Manuel Pellegrini told Mundo Deportivo.

Impact Pezzella couldn't play in the final games of the 2023/24 season due to a foot fracture, but he made the squad for Argentina in the 2024 Copa America and even featured in a group-stage match against Peru on June 29. Assuming he can get on the same physical levels as his teammates, he could be an option for the season opener against Girona on Aug. 15.

At this time, it appears there is a solid chance he is ready for opening day, likely to be a regular starter and play an impact role once again.
