Impact Smith signed with Cincinnati after departing Houston as a free agent. The wing-back can play a variety of roles, and even has the ability to fill in centrally where needed. Smith will be a depth option at first with Cincinnati, but could compete for starting minutes down the line.

Impact Smith was not able to get a chance to return to the pitch with Houston's elimination from the playoffs. He continues to be just a depth option for a second campaign in a row, starting just once in 20 MLS games, collecting two goals and assists with 27 crosses (five won). His future is set to be decided in the offseason as the midfielder does have options for two more years in his contract.
