Impact Brenner was an option after a couple of weeks out but didn't get any minute like in the four games before the hiccups. He has at least three options ahead of him even without Florian Thauvin (thigh). He has appeared just four times in the season, posting one shot (zero on target) and three tackles.

Impact Brenner's time in Cincinnati is officially over after 27 goals and seven assists across 72 MLS appearances (63 starts) since joining the club from Sao Paulo ahead of the 2021 campaign. The 23-year-old forward hasn't played since early May due to an ankle injury, but he will hope to have recovered by the start of the Serie A campaign, where he will challenge the likes of Beto, Gerard Deulofeu (knee), Isaac Success and Florian Thauvin for a starting spot in Udinese's attacking line.

Going to Brazil for treatment Brenner is traveling to Brazil to undergo treatment on his ankle injury, the Queen City Press' Laurel Pfahler reported Wednesday.

Impact Brenner has been limited to just one MLS appearance off the bench over the last six weeks or so, and he's now leaving the squad to return to Brazil and treat his recent ankle injury. It's possible he doesn't play again for Cincinnati before his July transfer to Udinese happens.
