Joel Veltman - Makes first start of season Veltman featured in the starting XI against Newcastle United on Saturday after having come off the bench in the first three matches.

Impact Veltman slotted into the right-back role ahead of James Milner for the first time this season. In his limited opportunities, Veltman has registered one shot (on target), two tackles (two won) and three clearances. While Milner likely has the inside track to continue serving as the primary left-back option, Veltman should still get periodic starts.

Impact Milner has played in 623 Premier League contests over the course of his storied career but has just begun his stint with Brighton. After starting the first three matches, Milner found himself watching from the sidelines versus Newcastle United on Saturday in favor of Joel Veltman. Barring a drastic shift coming out of the international break, Milner should be back in the starting XI versus Manchester United on Sept. 16.

There's not a ton of information on the exact injury, but his status for the Sept. 16 trip to Manchester United is in doubt and with Danny Welbeck also injured, Roberto De Zerbi may have to switch up his striker role yet again.
