Kaoru Mitoma - Out with ankle injury Mitoma will miss the next two matches with an ankle injury, according to manager Roberto De Zerbi.

Impact Mitoma came on for the final 45 minutes of Friday's match, but it came at a cost as he'll miss about a week of matches with this injury. He's looked lively whenever on the pitch this season and if he can get back to full health before the World Cup, there's a chance he could be set for his first start of the season upon return.

Kaoru Mitoma - Doubt for next two matches Mitoma is expected to be unavailable for Tuesday's home game against Nottingham Forest as well as Saturday's trip to Manchester City, per The Athletic.

Impact As reported earlier, Mitoma was spotted leaving Brentford on crutches and an ankle brace, so this isn't overly surprising. That said, this update at least provides a slightly clearer return timeframe and confirms that the nature of the injury isn't overly serious. Mitoma played the entire second half of Friday's match and is slated to play for Japan in the World Cup. If the timing here holds up, his earliest chance to return in league play is 29 Oct versus Chelsea.

Impact Per Seagulls Central, Mitoma was seen leaving Gtech Community Stadium on crutches and an ankle brace Friday night and is apparently dealing with a foot injury of some degree. Accordingly, he is not expected to be in the lineup for a quick league turnaround Tuesday versus Forest.

Impact Trossard was somewhat surprisingly relieved in the 69th for a fresh set of legs in Deniz Undav. Relative to recent performances, he was largely contained in what turned out to be a disappointing outing for fantasy purposes. He should be rested and ready for a quick league turnaround Tuesday versus Forest.

Impact March took quite a few touches again Friday and salvaged an otherwise disappointing outing with decent volume. He notably switched from right flank to left flank after Kaoru Mitoma replaced Pervis Estupinan at half time. He was arguably less effective after making the switch, so that will be worth monitoring as the season rolls along. March is averaging just over three crosses per match.

Impact Mac Allister was busy on the ball Friday and took a few decent chances from outside the area, but Brighton collectively lacked a cutting edge in the final third. The midfielder is often a set piece option for Seagulls as well, but Pascal Gross was the preferred corner-taker in this contest, particularly from the right side. On the league season, Mac Allister is firing off about two shots per match and has four goals in nine matches.

Impact It's an unfortunate update for Mwepu, who only recently was being tested because of the issue. Set for a bigger role this season and already with two starts, Mwepu will now move on to other things in his life at 24 years old.
