Honigstein: Disciplined Union teach Dortmund a lesson while Alonso given nasty wake-up callNothing’s ever subtle at Union Berlin. But that’s a big part of their success - as they demonstrated with Sunday's 2-0 win over Dortmund

Gregor Kobel - Three saves in Bundesliga returnKobel made three saves in Sunday's 2-0 defeat to Union Berlin.
ImpactKobel had a tough return to the Bundesliga against the league leaders and it went about as poorly as possible. The opening goal came from Kobel slipping and allowing Janik Haberer an open goal to shoot into. The second goal was a brilliant shot from Haberer, but almost certainly one Kobel would like to be saving. Kobel will hope to find form before fully healing over the long World Cup break.

Nico Schlotterbeck - Five tackles in lossSchlotterbeck had two shots (zero on goal) in Sunday's 2-0 loss versus Union Berlin.
ImpactSchlotterbeck was finally tested defensively, and showed that he is up to the task, making five tackles and two blocks to keep the game close. While it wasn't enough to get a point Schlotterbeck has been the best performing defender for Dortmund, and should have immense clean sheet upside throughout the 2022/23 campaign. Schlotterbeck and Dortmund haven't kept a clean sheet in October, something they will hope to correct against a poor Stuttgart side next time out.

Mats Hummels - Busy in lossHummels had one shot (zero on goal), one cross (one accurate), and one chance created in Sunday's 2-0 loss against Union Berlin.
ImpactHummels was busy during Sunday's loss to Union Berlin, adding his first chance created as well. The central defender has been heavily rotated to keep him healthy, but when on the pitch Hummels is a high-volume elite defensive option with the ability to get forward and make a difference on both sides of the ball.
OCTOBER 17, 2022ROTOWIRE
Raphael Guerreiro - Six crossesGuerreiro had six crosses (one accurate) and two corners in Sunday's 2-0 defeat to Union Berlin.
ImpactGuerreiro sent in six crosses in a more advanced role on the left side of midfield. The left-back would have more fantasy upside if Dortmund stick with this three at the back formation, though it seems the Dortmund full backs are being given less room to bomb forward. Guerreiro has created just eight chances in the Bundesliga, and seems nowhere near his previous best of 55 during the 2020/21 season where he scored five goals and added 10 assists.

Youssoufa Moukoko - Five shots in lossMoukoko had five shots (three on goal) and one cross (zero accurate) in Sunday's 2-0 loss to Union Berlin.
ImpactMoukoko was held off the scoresheet during Sunday's loss, but once again showed a willingness to shoot and bomb forward. The striker has become the true attacking leader for this Dortmund side, and alongside Karim Adeyemi appears set to lead the line for the remainder of the campaign. Moukoko has three goals and two assists in four starts in all competitions.
OCTOBER 17, 2022ROTOWIRE
Frederik Ronnow - Yet another clean sheetRonnow made six saves in Sunday's 2-0 victory versus Borussia Dortmund.
ImpactRonnow wouldn't have been at the top of anyone's lists to start the 2022/23 Bundesliga campaign but he now has six clean sheets in 13 matches in all competitions, including four in a row and five in his last six. Ronnow and Union are four points clear at the top of the table, and look like one of the most impressive teams in Germany.
