Alphonso Davies - Picks up knee issueDavies picked up an MCL strain during Saturday's 3-1 win against Monchengladbach and is expected to miss the next couple of matches, the club announced Saturday.
ImpactDavies will be heading for the sidelines over the next couple of weeks, picking up an MCL strain that will most likely be taken cautiously during rehabilitation as they try to preserve one of their key players. He was taken off in the 85th minute to be replaced by Raphael Guerreiro, who will most likely continue in that role while he is out. Davies will now hope for a speedy recovery, looking to not miss more than a couple of matches. Unfortunately, he will most likely miss the club's opening UCL round of 16 match against Lazio on Feb. 14.
