Maximilian Breunig - Scores but can't avoid defeatBreunig scored one goal to go with one shot (one on goal) in Friday's 4-2 loss to Borussia Dortmund.
ImpactBreunig came off the bench and found the back of the net for a second consecutive match. He's not going to carry a lot of upside when playing off the bench, but given his decent goal-to-minutes ratio, don't be surprised if he finds a way to crack the starting lineup sooner than later.

Marvin Pieringer - Scores in defeat vs. BVBPieringer scored one goal to go with two shots (two on goal) and two chances created in Friday's 4-2 defeat to Borussia Dortmund.
ImpactPieringer's physicality and size proved to be complicated for Dortmund's defensive line, and the striker was able to find the back of the net with a well-taken header following a cross from Omar Haktab Traore midway through the first half. This was Pieringer's first goal of the season, and he has two goal contributions (one goal, one assist) in three appearances (two starts) in 2024/25 so far.

Gregor Kobel - Can't keep clean sheet FridayKobel recorded two saves and allowed two goals in Friday's 4-2 win versus FC Heidenheim.
ImpactWhile Heidenheim didn't represent a particularly tough opponent on paper, it's hard to blame Kobel for the two goals he conceded in this 4-2 rout. The goalkeeper should remain an elite option between the posts due to Dortmund's defensive power, and that should be even more noticeable when they play at home. Kobel and Dortmund will face Stuttgart on the road on Sep. 22 in their next match, and that promises to be a more complicated matchup.

Kevin Muller - Can't be blamed FridayMuller recorded two saves and allowed four goals in Friday's 4-2 loss against Borussia Dortmund.
ImpactMuller did what he could throughout the game, but Dortmund's attacking power was just too much for Heidenheim, and he wasn't at fault for any of the four goals he conceded. Muller will aim to bounce back in a more favorable matchup against Freiburg on Sep. 21.
