Andreas Christensen - Doubt for Cup match Christensen (back) is a doubt for Wednesday's Cup match, according to manager Thomas Tuchel.

Impact Christensen completely missed the draw against Liverpool with his back issue and it doesn't sound like he's feeling better. Chelsea have two upcoming Cup matches before playing in league again Jan. 15, so he may be rested over the next week until the trip to Man City.

Timo Werner - Edging closer to fitness Werner (COVID-19) returned to training and could be well enough to make the bench for Wednesday's Cup match, according to manager Thomas Tuchel.

Impact Werner has missed the team's last five league matches, but it looks like he's on the other side now and could make the bench Wednesday. If all goes well, he should be ready to start for the team's next league match Jan. 15 at Man City. Until then, Chelsea have two Cup matches to play in.

Trevoh Chalobah - Out at least one match Chalobah (hamstring) will miss Wednesday's League Cup match and possibly more, according to manager Thomas Tuchel.

Impact This isn't too surprising for Chalobah, who only went down a couple days ago with a hamstring issue. it's unknown the severity of the injury, but he probably won't feature in one of the upcoming Cup matches unless it truly is minor.

Romelu Lukaku - Training with team again Lukaku returned to training Tuesday after he apologized for recent comments made, according to manager Thomas Tuchel.

Impact Lukaku completely missed the match against Liverpool after it was made known that he didn't like Chelsea's system and would eventually return to Inter Milan. It's unclear if Tuchel is ready to start Lukaku, but it at least seems like he's ready to play for Chelsea again.
