On bench in season finale Pulisic was an unused substitute in Sunday's victory against Watford. Impact Pulisic recorded a combined eight goals and three assists across 29 appearances (17 starts) in the Premier League and Champions League, but his time at Chelsea continues to feel like one step forward and then one step back. Through mid-December he had only started in two league games thanks in large part to an ankle injury he picked up with the U.S. National Team in August, but even when healthy he struggled to get a consistent run of games in the team. The 23-year-old is at somewhat of a crossroads in his career with an upcoming World Cup and some controversy over his place in Chelsea's squad, but it seems like he still backs himself to break into a starring role with the club.
