Impact Nkunku departs the French World Cup squad, a major blow for the player and France. The reigning Bundesliga player of the year won't be in Qatar and is now a doubt for the Bundesliga after the Winter break. Nkunku has been in incredible form with 15 goals in all competitions heading into the World Cup. His absence could see an increase in playing time for late addition Marcus Thuram, who is enjoying his own rich vein of form.
