Jordan Ayew - Signs two-year extension Ayew signed a two-year extension through 2025, Crystal Palace announced.
Impact Ayew will remain with Crystal Palace for two more years, a nice reward for the winger who is off to a solid start in his seventh season with the club. Ayew might not be someone who will trouble double-digit goals, but he has been a consistent provider. Ayew also has a knack for drawing fouls, with a league-leading 34 fouls drawn through 10 Premier League matches.

Sam Johnstone - Pens extension through 2027 Johnstone signed an extension through the 2026/27 season with Crystal Palace.
Impact Johnstone earned the top job before 2023/24 and now has a long-term deal to go with it. The goalkeeper has kept four clean sheets in 2023/24 and has made 23 saves in 10 matches. Dean Henderson (hip) is a talented backup and could provide some competition but for now it seems to be Johnstone's job to lose.

Impact Franca made his second straight bench appearance Friday and once again made an impact in limited minutes. He recorded four crosses and four corners in his second consecutive match, to go with one created chance in his 11 minutes of action. While he is not receiving enough playing time to rely on, if he can find his way into more minutes he could be a valuable asset given what he's shown in just 31 Premier League minutes.

Impact Ward opened up the scoring Friday, but unfortunately for him and Crystal Palace, it was on his own net. Tyrick Mitchell - Picks up injury Mitchell was forced off during the 70th minute of Friday's clash with Spurs with an apparent injury.
Impact Mitchell goes the full 90 any time he is fit so to see him come off is certainly concerning. Nathaniel Clyne came on to replace Mitchell, which is far from a like-for-like change at left-back. Clyne also offers far less going forward than Mitchell, though it is Clyne who might see more playing time if Mitchell is set to miss any matches. Mitchell's first chance to return is a Saturday trip to Burnley.

Impact Schlupp is back in the starting XI after missing the last match with an undisclosed injury. Impact Ferguson has been plagued by injuries since joining the Eagles back in the summer of 2020, and he has made just one substitute appearance for the club since then. It's understood Ferguson picked up the injury in the closing stages of Tuesday's match against Monaco, and manager Roy Hodgson confirmed in his press conference that the 23-year-old had suffered an injury.

James Tomkins - Out couple more weeks Tomkins needs a "couple more weeks" before he can return, according to manager Roy Hodgson.
Impact Tomkins strained his calf last week in training and according to Hodgson, it's a three-week injury. That means the defender will be out the next two weeks and probably won't return before the international break. No matter, he's deep on the Palace depth chart, as possibly the fourth or fifth center-back option, now that Chris Richards and Rob Holding are on the team.
