GAME LOG

Superb off bench Gomez scored one goal to go with two shots (one on goal) in Sunday's 2-2 draw versus Deportivo Alaves.
Impact Gomez was only used in the late stages of Valencia's match against Deportivo Alvaes, but he made sure to capitalize on his opportunity. In 12 minutes played, he scored one goal from two shots, had two touches in the opposition's box, and won an aerial duel. The goal was Gomez's second of the La Liga season, and he will hope to build on this momentum when Valencia hosts Real Madrid on January 3.

Finally back in La Liga scoresheet Gomez scored one goal to go with two shots (one on goal) in Saturday's 2-0 win versus Girona.
Impact Gomez had not scored in La Liga since its 2021-22 rendition. Fast-forward more than two seasons later, and he finally got on the scoresheet, this time with Valencia. Hugo Duro (strain) expected to be available for the Osasuna game may dent Gomez's starting chances, but at least he has potentially put himself in a better position for more opportunities.
SEPTEMBER 23, 2024 • ROTOWIRE
Starting Sunday Gomez (nose) is in the lineup for Sunday's match against Atletico Madrid.
Impact Gomez is back following a fractured nose suffered during training. He is also starting as expected, which will make it his first start of the season. He's only been a sub the last three appearances, only playing 38 minutes while generating just one tackle and two interceptions.
SEPTEMBER 15, 2024 • ROTOWIRE
Ready for Sunday's trip Gomez (nose) is set to make the trip to Sunday's match versus Atletico Madrid. According to manager Ruben Baraja, "What happened last week hasn't prevented him [Dani]0 from trainin...
Impact Gomez suffered an injury scare in training after taking a blow to the face that resulted in a fractured nose. However, this has not prevented him from training and is set to be an option for Sunday. With Rafa Mir out for personal reasons and Hugo Duro still out, the forward will likely get the start in the attack for the clash with Atletico Madrid.
SEPTEMBER 13, 2024 • ROTOWIRE
Suffers broken nose Gomez has gone down with a broken nose in training, according to his club.
Impact Gomez had a tough day at training Tuesday, with the forward receiving a blow to the nose that would result in a fracture. Luckily for the club, this is as minor as an injury gets in football, as he should be able to compete with a mask while recovering. That said, he is set to be transferred to hospital for treatment before rejoining group work in the coming days, likely being an option following the international break.
SEPTEMBER 3, 2024 • ROTOWIRE
Loaned to La Liga Gomez will spend the 2024/25 season on loan with Valencia from Levante, with an option to buy.
Impact Gomez has been a dominant player in La Liga 2 for the past several seasons that has earned the opportunity to play in the top tier of Spanish football once again. A former product of Real Madrid, Gomez scored five goals with one assist in 34 matches during his loan to Espanyol, which helped the club earn promotion back to La Liga. He looks forward to making a significant contribution to his club's attack as he returns to the top flight for the first time since the 2022/23 season.
AUGUST 2, 2024 • ROTOWIRE
Back with team Gomez (foot) is on the team sheet for Saturday's trip to At Real Madrid.
Impact Gomez has not played since Jan 27 with a foot injury, but is healthy and looks to go to Saturday. He will start on the bench at minimum, failing to get a start in seven appearances this season.
MARCH 10, 2023 • ROTOWIRE
Set for return from ban Gomez is available to return after serving his four-match ban.
Impact Gomez was sent off before the World Cup break and handed a major ban. Still the forward hasn't played a major part in the starting XI and shouldn't be looked towards for major playing time even when available once more.
JANUARY 9, 2023 • ROTOWIRE
Still suspended Saturday Gomez will miss out against Girona on Saturday as he serves out the last game of his four-match suspension.
Impact Gomez was booked before the World Cup break in a Copa Del Rey clash with CD Rincon and was subsequently given a four-match suspension. Considering the forward has logged a combined 61 minutes in six league appearances this year, fantasy players shouldn't be expecting him to suddenly factor into the starting XI once eligible to return.
JANUARY 4, 2023 • ROTOWIRE
Bench option Friday Gomez will be available as a substitute against Mallorca on Friday.
Impact Considering Gomez has yet to feature in the starting XI for the club this season, his presence on the bench shouldn't come as a surprise. Unless there is an injury upfront, Gomez will be hard-pressed to offer much in the way of fantasy value given his limited usage.
OCTOBER 28, 2022 • ROTOWIRE
Dealing with knock Gomez is considered questionable for Friday's match at Mallorca after making the squad list, according to La Grada.
Impact Gomez has made five appearances off the bench since joining Espanyol but a recent knock could prevent him from playing. As he has yet to earn a starting job, his production isn't so notable.
OCTOBER 28, 2022 • ROTOWIRE
Takes seven shots in draw Gomez had seven shots (three on target) and created one chance during Saturday's 1-1 draw against Valencia.
Impact Gomez was very dangerous up front, more than doubling his previous season high in shots attempted, but was stopped all times by an inspired goalkeeper. The forward started the last three matches for Levante and this performance gives him a great chance of remaining in the lineup for Friday's home clash against Real Sociedad.
MAY 1, 2022 • ROTOWIRE
Scores in win Gomez scored one goal from two shots (two on goal) and created one chance during 68 minutes of Sunday's 4-1 win over Granada.
Impact Gomez opened the scoring for a much-needed result that could help his side escape relegation. Given his early departure from his first start in nearly two months, one can hope that he hasn't picked up a problem, though a lack of consistent opportunities isn't great for value. Up next is a visit from Valencia, which have conceded the fewest goals in La Liga.
APRIL 18, 2022 • ROTOWIRE
On bench against Barcelona Gomez (groin) is in Levante's match day squad for Sunday's clash against Barcelona.
Impact Gomez was forced to miss a game with an adductor injury, but he has recovered and is back with the squad against Barcelona on Sunday.
APRIL 10, 2022 • ROTOWIRE
Back in training Gomez (groin) partially rejoined training with Levante on Monday.
Impact Gomez missed Saturday's victory against Villarreal after suffering an adductor injury just before the international break, but he is recovering well and may be an option against Barcelona at the weekend.
APRIL 4, 2022 • ROTOWIRE
Leaves early with injury Gomez played 13 minutes as substitute in Saturday's 3-1 loss at Osasuna before subbing off with a thigh injury.
Impact Gomez subbed on in the 62nd minute and was forced off in the 75th after suffering a thigh injury. The forward was better evaluated by the team doctors later, but has no timetable to return yet. He will likely miss Saturday's game against Villarreal and may look for a return on Apr 10 against Barcelona.
MARCH 21, 2022 • ROTOWIRE
Scores off bench Gomez scored once on one shot off the bench during Saturday's one-all draw with Espanyol.
Impact Gomez came on the bench for the final 12 minutes of Saturday's clash and proved to be a difference-maker, securing the draw. The forward isn't a huge fantasy play, but his five goal contributions in only six starts isn't a bad return. Gomez will likely be back on the bench next time out.
MARCH 12, 2022 • ROTOWIRE
Adds assist in win Gomez logged one assist in four minutes of Friday's 3-0 win over Elche.
Impact Gomez has started just twice in the last five matches but scored two goals and logged one assist in that time. Unless he unseats the veteran Roger Marti as the top forward, Gomez may continue to rotate in and out of the lineup, even with a solid record recently. Up next is a trip to Athletic Club.
MARCH 2, 2022 • ROTOWIRE
Scores twice in loss Gomez had two goals on two shots, one cross, one tackle and one foul in the 4-2 loss to Betis on Sunday.
Impact Scoring the only two goals for his side, Gomez was on fire against Betis. These were the forward's first two goals of the season, and if he plays against Atletico Madrid, it is unlikely he will be able to do it again.
FEBRUARY 13, 2022 • ROTOWIRE
Returns to preliminary squad Gomez (thigh) is in the preliminary squad for Saturday's clash with Getafe.
Impact Gomez has finally made his return to the squad and could be a starter straight away. He was deemed fully fit before the international break, so the extra two weeks likely have cleared up any last worries. Gomez could find more opportunity with the injuries piling up in attack and midfield.
OCTOBER 15, 2021 • ROTOWIRE
Out against Mallorca Gomez (thigh) is not in the preliminary squad list for Saturday's trip to Mallorca.
Impact Gomez was deemed fully fit earlier in September, but it appears that wasn't the case entirely. The forward will miss the last game before the international break, but will have the extended layoff to heal. With Roberto Soldado sidelined Dani Gomez could solidify his place in the starting XI if he can come back after the break.
OCTOBER 1, 2021 • ROTOWIRE
Fully fit Gomez has recovered fully from his thigh injury, according to manager Paco Lopez.
Impact Gomez has recovered quickly and is in his manager's good books after a strong performance against Elche in his first start of the season. With Roberto Soldado hurt Gomez could be in line for some big minutes to continue his good form.
SEPTEMBER 20, 2021 • ROTOWIRE
Participates in training Gomez (thigh) was a full participant in Tuesday's training session.
Impact Gomez used the international break to his advantage as he works his way back to full fitness. While Roberto Soldado (hamstring) is still out, Gomez should be able to find extra starting chances, beginning with Saturday's match against Rayo Vallecano.
SEPTEMBER 7, 2021 • ROTOWIRE
Hurts thigh in draw Gomez suffered a right thigh injury during Saturday's 1-1 draw with Cadiz and is expected to miss three weeks.
Impact Gomez had already entered Saturday's match for the injured Roberto Soldado (hamstring), before later suffering a problem of his own. Fortunately, the September international break means that Gomez shouldn't miss many matches while he's out, though he does leave a void at backup forward that someone new will need to fill.
