The talented young Italian made 37 appearances (35 starts) during the 2023/2024 season in Serie B with Sampdoria. Having now made his first two appearances each as a starter, in Verona's most recent two fixtures, it looks as if Verona were slowly integrating Ghilardi into Serie A football.
