Signs with Charlotte Bingham signed with Charlotte, the club announced Tuesday.

Impact Bingham joins up as a veteran backup for the 2024 season. The goalkeeper likely won't trouble Kristijan Kahlina atop the depth chart but he should be a more suitable backup than George Marks. Bingham made 19 starts for Portland in 2023, keeping five clean sheets and conceding 29 times.

Impact Bingham was poor on Saturday. He only managed to save three of the six shots he faced on-target and would have conceded a fourth if not for a correctly called, but close, offside call. The regular starter has some of the weakest statistics in the MLS with 49 saves (2.6 per game, 63 per cent), 29 conceded (1.5 per game) and five clean sheets.
