Out with groin injury Fagundez is expected to miss about one month with a Grade 2 groin injury, Austin manager Josh Wolff told The Striker's Phil West on Thursday. Impact Fagundez picked up this groin injury in the second half of last weekend's scoreless draw with the Whitecaps, and he's now set to miss at least the next five matches against LA, San Jose, Portland, Dallas and Seattle while he recovers. This is a pretty big blow for an already struggling Austin team as Fagundez recorded six goals and 13 assists last season -- the latter stat being the second-highest mark in the league. Ethan Finlay is expected to take over as the starter on the left wing in Fagundez's absence, and other star attackers like Emiliano Rigoni and Sebastian Driussi will have to shoulder more of offensive responsibility as well.
