Impact Horkas made his third appearance of the season Friday in relief of injured first-choice keeper Jasper Cillessen who had to be removed from the match after being involved in a nasty clash of heads. The Las Palmas no. 2 conceded once without making a save as Las Palmas fell 2-0 to Atletico Madrid. Horkas is primed to take the reins as Las Palmas's first-choice keeper Friday when Las Palmas travel for an away tilt versus Rayo Vallecano and will be between the sticks for the foreseeable future thereafter while Cillessen recovers.

Impact Horkas wasn't at fault for the goal scored by the opposition as Borja Iglesias appeared unmarked in front of him to head home a cross from the right, but the fact that he couldn't make any save during the entire contest did a lot of harm to his fantasy output. That's now four saves and four goals allowed over two starts for the goalkeeper, who should be back to the bench once Jasper Cillessen (knee) becomes available again.

Impact Despite conceding three goals in what marked his first appearance for Las Palmas, Horkas provided some positivity by making four saves in the match, including one save on a penalty kick. He did a good job closing the door through most of the first half, before conceding his first of the match just before halftime. He also held strong through most of the second half, before conceding two goals after the 83rd minute. Up next for Las Palmas is a meeting with Celta Vigo on Saturday.

Completes free transfer Horkas has agreed to a free transfer from Lokomotiv Plovdiv to Las Palmas, his new club announced.

Impact Horkas will be heading across Europe for his next footballing adventure, as he is set to join Las Palmas. In the past season, he appeared 21 times for his former club. That said, he is likely to be brought in as a backup option, possibly getting a chance to fight for the starting role, but mainly used as a secondary goalie in situations when needed.
