Impact Bove has steadily improved after collapsing on the pitch and can begin his journey ahead of a potential comeback, during which he'll have to clear several obstacles.

Undergoes procedure to implant ICD Bove had a removable implantable cardioverter defibrillator successfully inserted and will be discharged in a few days, Fiorentina announced.

Impact Bove required the tool to be sent home because he was rushed to the hospital because of atrial fibrillation. He's just starting his way to a full recovery, but he wouldn't be allowed to play in Serie A if he needed to keep the ICD on, while he could do it in other countries that are more lax in that respect. In intense care unit Bove is stable and has been pharmacologically sedated, and the initial tests excluded acute cardiac, neurological, and respiratory damages, Fiorentina announced.

Impact Bove went into cardiac arrest because of a seizure, Ansa reported. Fiorentina and the hospital are expected to provide another update on Monday.
