Ardian Ismajli - Absent against Torino
Ismajli (thigh) will stay on the mend for Monday's fixture versus Torino, Il Tirreno reported.
Impact
Ismajli hasn't progressed enough in training to be available yet and will skip his third contest in a row despite having had the break at his disposal to heal. Bartosz Bereszynki has starred consistently in relief.

ROTOWIRE
Mattia Destro - Questionable for Torino tilt
Destro "had some issues this week," coach Davide Nicola relayed.
Impact
Destro wasn't a full go in training in the lead-up to the contest and will need to go through a late fitness test to be available. He's usually the third or fourth option up front behind M'Baye Niang, Francesco Caputo and Alberto Cerri.

Alberto Grassi - Touch and go for Torino game
Grassi (groin) "worked for the whole week with us at a good pace, so, if everything goes according to plan, we could start to use him in the next game," coach Davide Nicola informe...
Impact
Grassi is in better shape after missing five matches and is more likely to play against Lecce next week but could be brought to the bench versus Torino on Saturday already.

ROTOWIRE
Youssef Maleh - Completes disqualification
Maleh served a one-match ban in Monday's 2-0 loss to Inter.
Impact
Maleh will be back against Torino on Saturday and likely get the nod over SImone Bastoni or Giuseppe Pezzella in the midfield. He has registered seven chances created, five crosses (two accurate) and 10 tackles (seven won) in his last five appearances.

Elia Caprile - Busy in loss
Caprile registered five saves and allowed two goals in Monday's 2-0 loss against Inter Milan.
Impact
Caprile faced seven shots and stopped five in a disappointing loss that saw him do well throughout. The goalkeeper couldn't keep up with the quality or quantity of Inter shots but on the whole it was still an impressive showing. There will be far easier matches for Caprile to look forward to in the closing stages of Serie A.

ROTOWIRE
Razvan Marin - Four corners in loss
Marin had one shot (one on goal), six crosses (four accurate) and four corners in Monday's 2-0 loss against Inter Milan.
Impact
Marin sent in four corners, but failed to do much damage with those dead ball chances. The midfielder didn't do much from open play but with his role on corners he maintains some sort of baseline production no matter what. Marin also made seven tackles as he did his best to single-handedly stem the tide of the Inter attack.

Nicolo Cambiaghi - Six crosses Monday
Cambiaghi recorded two shots (one on goal), six crosses (two accurate) and two chances created in Monday's 2-0 loss versus Inter Milan. In addition, he was given a yellow card in t...
Impact
Cambiaghi was busy throughout Monday's clash, creating issues for the Inter defense and creating a pair of chances. Unfortunately finishing let him and the entire attack down as they were shut out in a match that seemed very winnable. Cambiaghi will hope to bounce back and be more productive moving forward as he continues to look for his first goal of the season.

ROTOWIRE
M'Baye Niang - Four shots in loss
Niang recorded four shots (one on goal) and three chances created in Monday's 2-0 loss versus Inter Milan.
Impact
Niang comes away with nothing to show for Monday's clash but individually he was excellent. For large parts of the match he was the sole creative spark and he came close to scoring himself as well. With better finishing around him it's possible he could have had multiple goal contributions Monday. Still there will be easier opponents ahead of Niang moving forward.

ROTOWIRE
Alberto Grassi - Sits out Monday
Grassi (groin) is out for Monday's match against Empoli.
Impact
Grassi will not be an option Monday, which should come as no surprise, as he was in heavy doubt for the match due to inflammation in his groin region, now missing his fifth straight match. He will now hope for a return against Torino on Saturday, as when healthy, he is a regular starter in the middle of the pack.

ROTOWIRE
Ardian Ismajli - Out against Inter
Ismajli (thigh) is out for Monday's match against Inter Milan.
Impact
Ismajli was unlikely to make the team sheet Monday, with that now coming to full effect, as he has been left out of the selection for the tilt with Inter. He will now look for a return against Torino on Saturday, as he is a regular starter when healthy.

ROTOWIRE
Ardian Ismajli - Questionable for Inter clash
Ismajli (thigh) is unlikely to be rushed back and might stay out for Monday's game versus Inter, Sky Italy reported.
Impact
Ismajli is at the earlier end of his timetable, and the coach didn't provide an update on him in the pre-game presser. He might not start even if he's available to avoid risks.

Alberto Grassi - In doubt for Inter clash
Grassi (groin) "has an inflammation that comes and goes and might have to live with it. We hope to recover him soon," Davide Nicola informed.
Impact
Grassi has been sidelined for over a month by the lingering problem, and it appears Empoli will assess him on a game-to-game basis, as the issue doesn't have a firm timetable. His availability will also his on his sensations in the lead-up and on match-day.

Youssef Maleh - Will miss Inter clash
Maleh won one of two tackles, sent in two crosses (one accurate), had one interception and picked up his tenth yellow card in Friday's 1-0 loss to Bologna.
Impact
Maleh will have to miss his second game of the season due to yellow card accumulation. If Alberto Grassi (groin) isn't fit enough to start, Razvan Marin and Jacopo Fazzini will partner up in the midfield.

ROTOWIRE
Jacopo Fazzini - Serves disqualification
Fazzini cleared a one-game suspension in Friday's 1-0 loss to Bologna.
Impact
Fazzini will have strong chances of getting the nod since Youssef Maleh is suspended for the game versus Inter. He has posted four tackles (one won), four crosses (zero accurate) and two interceptions in his last five appearances.

ROTOWIRE
Razvan Marin - Nine crosses in loss
Marin delivered nine crosses (two accurate) and took six corners in Saturday's 1-0 defeat to Bologna.
Impact
Marin was back in the starting XI after sitting out the previous game with a rib injury. He attempted nine crosses, more than any other player. The midfielder has struggled to nail down a starting spot and his only attacking returns this season are the two assists he managed against Sassuolo at the end of February.

ROTOWIRE
M'Baye Niang - Fires four shots
Niang attempted four shots (one on target) and two crosses (both accurate) in Saturday's 1-0 defeat to Bologna.
Impact
Niang missed a glorious chance to open the scoring, inexplicably failed to get his shot off when through on goal. He managed more shots than any of his teammates. The striker has blanked in each of the last three after netting three goals in his first three appearances for Empoli.

ROTOWIRE
Elia Caprile - Performs well in defeat
Caprile made eight saves and conceded once in Friday's 1-0 loss to Bologna.
Impact
Caprile made a series of good saves and was unlucky to be denied a first clean sheet in six at the death. His eight saves were the most he has made in a game this season. He has conceded 15 goals and has kept three clean sheets in 13 games since winning back the no.1 jersey. Next up is a tough trip to Inter Milan next Monday.

Tyronne Ebuehi - Out for rest of the season
Ebuehi suffered a partial ACL tear in his right knee, Empoli informed.
Impact
Ebuehi has started rehabbing and will decide the best path forward along with the medical staff, as he might require surgery depending on the severity of the issue. He'll miss at least the remainder of the campaign. He has had a secondary role after coming back from a previous thigh injury. Emmanuel Gyasi, Bartosz Bereszynski and Matteo Cancellieri will be the top options on the right wing from here on out, also depending on the scheme.

Ebuehi had one inaccurate cross in 23 minutes off the bench in Friday's 1-0 loss to Bologna and couldn't finish the match due to a knee injury, coach Davide Nicola informed.
Impact
Ebuehi replaced Emmanuel Gyasi midway through the second half but couldn't continue after a tough blow to the knee despite getting treated for a while. He'll take further tests during the break.

Razvan Marin - Starting Friday
Marin (ribs) is in the starting XI for Friday's match against Bologna.
Impact
Marin is back in the selection for Empoli, getting the start Friday following his absence from the club's last match against AC Milan due to rib issues. He will hope to continue in the starting XI, as he has now started in the club's past three contest he has been available for despite being demoted to more of a rotational role throughout the middle of the season.

Impact
