Transfers to D.C. Hurtado has signed a one-year contract with the option to add another with D.C. United after transferring from USL side San Antonio FC, the club announced Saturday.
Impact Hurtado has 23 goals and 11 assists to his name in MLS across 166 appearances throughout his time with Vancouver, Sporting KC, Montreal and Columbus since 2013. The 32-year-old will bring a veteran presence to his new club D.C. United, where he should be a backup forward behind Christian Benteke and Taxiarchis Fountas.

Impact Hurtado made 14 MLS appearances (four starts) during his first full season in Columbus, and he went on a flurry of scoring three goals from May through June. Impact Hurtado is in the exact same situation he was in for the 2021 season, signing for Columbus on a one-year deal, with an option for a second year. The forward is little more than a depth option, and barring a career year, is unlikely to have the option picked up at the end of the season.
