Impact Lecomte isn't facing many attempts on his goal but has already conceded four goals in two games while making just two saves. If the defense can't hold up until the attack returns its top players, then Lecomte could be in for a long season that won't make him the same kind of fantasy asset as former starter Diego Lopez was through a high save count.

Impact Sanchez has started each of the first two matches of the season with Javi Puado still recovering from injury. Given his pedigree as a wide defender, Sanchez has put in solid work on both ends of the pitch. Though his early production is promising, Puado is more likely to start long-term and this will threaten one of Nico Melamed or Sanchez for minutes.

Impact Souza has made seven interceptions and logged six tackles (three won) over two games, which are solid defensive numbers. While his side have given up four goals and have yet to record a win, Souza might be a solid pickup if he can cut back on his six fouls conceded and one yellow card to his name already.

This isn't a great sign for a defender who's not a guaranteed start or able to finish full matches.

Impact Darder easily had one of his best creative performances over the last two seasons but a tough defensive matchup left him without an assist or the victory. If this is how well he plays when he gets time on the ball, Darder could easily match his nine-assist total from last season.

Impact Joselu had scored in the opener against Celta Vigo but a tough defensive opponent held him without a shot on target, even after Florian Lejeune was sent off. In a team that's still a work in progress and lacking major creative support, Joselu finds himself in a similar situation to his recent stint at Deportivo Alaves, in which he scored at least 11 goals in three straight seasons before their relegation. Should he match those efforts in a team that's definitely better, Joselu will remain a consistent option in the right matchups.
