Impact Mykolenko almost earned Everton three points against Brighton, netting an early goal to give them a 1-0 lead before an unfortunate own goal by Ashley Young. This was a very rare goal for Mykolenko, as the defender's last goal came in 2021. He also contributed two tackles, two interceptions and three clearances in the defense.

Impact Pickford did well to maintain Everton's early 1-0 lead by making two saves, but eventually fell victim to an own goal scored by teammate Ashley Young, leading to the 1-1 result. Pickford was unlucky not to pick up the clean sheet against Brighton, as that would've been his third of the season. His next match should be an easier contest, as Everton will travel to London to play Crystal Palace.

It was still an impressive showing from Pickford, who is up to 23 saves in nine Premier League matches. The lackluster team in front of him will likely limit Pickford's chances at clean sheets.
