Mads Hermansen
Hermansen (groin) still needs more time to return to team training, coach Ruud van Nistelrooy said in a press conference. "Mads' situation is that he is in his recovery program to get back to team training. He is making good progress, but he needs to make further steps before joining team training and playing games. I can't yet say, but it's getting a lot closer to a possible return date. That's how well he is progressing, so hopefully, there will be more updates on him next week."
Wilfred Ndidi
Ndidi (hamstring) is making good progress and could potentially resume team training next week, according to coach Ruud van Nistelrooy. "Wilf is making good progress in his rehabilitation. Hopefully, he can be a part of team training at some point next week."
Luke Shaw
Shaw (calf) is still weeks from training, according to manager Ruben Amorim. "We have to put some exercises in 10 minutes and then he has to make extra work to improve his fitness. I don't know [when he will play], it is two weeks to start training before I think about putting him in for some minutes."
Noussair Mazraoui
Mazraoui (undisclosed) picked up a knock in Sunday's 3-1 defeat against Brighton and was left out of the squad for Thursday's Europa League match against Rangers as a precaution, the club announced.
