Set for free agency Herbers is out of contract and will be eligible for free agency.

Impact Herbers' time with Chicago will likely come to end as he is set for free agency. He has been part of the side since 2019, completing his second straight campaign as a starter. In 2024, the midfielder scored three goals with four assists, totaling 59 tackles, 29 crosses (nine won) and 29 chances created. His four assists is a career high, while also surpassing his career high for tackles as well.

Impact Herbers scored his third goal of the season, but it was only his first goal in 27 MLS games since March.
