Impact Wirtz's absence will certainly stretch Leverkusen's midfield depth, especially considering he made 29 appearances for the club in domestic action last year. In those outings, the midfielder recorded five goals on 31 shots (14 on target), five assists and 47 chances created. In Wirtz's stead, Paulinho (not injury related) should slot into the starting XI fresh off his Olympic appearance.
