Impact Bazunu had a rather entertaining afternoon, as West Ham fired off a whopping 25 shots in this matchup. Fortunately for the keeper, only four of those shots found their target and only one located the net. Unfortunately for the keeper, he is still looking for his first clean sheet this year. Up next is an away tilt Wednesday at Bournemouth.

Impact Bazunu was saved by the post from letting a fifth in from Erling Haaland, though he later scored to clinch the result. Until Saturday, Bazunu had conceded two goals in two games and just one goal in another five. Should his team ever figure out how to score goals, Bazunu could hold a marginal amount of value when facing easier matchups.

Impact Bazunu had a quiet during the whole match and did not make any saves, but conceded once to James Maddison in the 54th minute. The goalkeeper has no clean sheets in the season so far after three starts. He made eight saves and allowed seven goals over that span, and will now host Manchester United on Saturday.

Impact Saturday was a baptism of fire for Bazunu, as he conceded four times (including an own goal) in his first ever Premier League appearance. Still, the fact that the 20-year-old keeper was selected ahead of Alex McCarthy for the opener means that manager Ralph Hasenhuttl trusts him and he should be given some time to adapt to the new league and grow into Southampton's squad. Next weekend he will face Leeds United, which scored 42 goals last season.

Transfers to Southampton Bazunu has signed with Southampton after transferring from Manchester City, the club announced Friday.
Impact Bazunu kept 16 clean sheets and conceded 51 goals in 44 League One appearances last season while on-loan with Portsmouth, and the 20-year-old now moves from City's academy to Southampton on a full transfer. He will likely be sent out on-loan once again this upcoming campaign in order to continue gaining experience, rather than be the third-string goalkeeper on a mid-table Premier League side.
