Junior Messias - Questionable for Salernitana game Messias wasn't a full go in training late in the week due to a physical problem, Il Secolo XIX informed.

Impact Messias was a little limited in the last two sessions, but the coach kept things close to the vest concerning his fitness and availability, only alluding that it would be a late decision. He has played in a few roles as of late. Kevin Strootman and Djed Spence would be candidates to replace him, while Morten Frendrup should return to the XI regardless.

Morten Thorsby - Will return versus Salernitana Thorsby (calf) "returned to full training in the last couple of weeks and will be on the bench Sunday," coach Alberto Gilardino relayed.

Impact Thorsby is healthy after sitting out the past two matches and will resume providing depth in the midfield. He wasn't used in four of the last eight matches. He was an option four, recording three shots (one on target), three crosses (one accurate), and two tackles (one one) in the others.

Impact Spence was recalled from Leeds and is now off to Genoa, where he will be in line for some top flight minutes. It's a great chance for the midfielder, who should compete for starts during the second half of the season if he can stay fit.

Radu Matei Dragusin - Busy defensively versus Bologna Dragusin made one tackle, five clearances, three interceptions and four blocks during Friday's 1-1 draw against Bologna.

Impact Dragusin was one of the biggest reasons why one of the best teams of the league was kept scoreless until deep into second half's stoppage time. The center-back was disruptive and smart as usual and his numbers were once again a proof of his immense impact. Currently second among all Serie A players in clearances and top 20 in shots blocked, Dragusin has been one of Genoa's most reliable fantasy performances so far this season.

Josep Martínez - Makes seven saves versus Bologna Martinez made seven saves and conceded one goal during Friday's 1-1 draw against Bologna.

Impact Martinez had easily one of his best performances of the season so far, making more saves than he did in any other game and keeping the fifth-placed Bologna scoreless until deep into second half's stoppage time. But then came Lorenzo De Silvestri with a point-blank finish to beat him and seal the 1-1 draw. The lack of clean sheets is still there for the goalkeeper but he's trying to make up for that by stopping as many shots as he can, with 17 saves over his last four starts.
