Another campaign with Sassuolo Pegolo has signed a one-year contract extension with Sassuolo, the club announced Monday.

Impact Pegolo is coming back for another season with Sassuolo, despite the fact that he'll be 43 years old by the end of it. He conceded three goals in two Serie A starts in January, and should continue as the backup to Andrea Consigli in goal.

Impact Pegolo made his second straight start with Andrea Consigli (knee) still sidelined and overall did a decent job between the sticks. But the goalkeeper couldn't do anything when GIanluca Caprari fired the ball way beyond his reach and into the far post to draw things level at 1-1 in the 60th minute. Consigli should remain out at least for another weekend so expect Pegolo to remain in the lineup for next Monday's visit to Milan.
