Atalanta's Scamacca to undergo surgery and will miss majority of season after serious knee injury

Atalanta and Italy forward Gianluca Scamacca will undergo knee surgery on Monday and will likely be sidelined for the next six months

Suffers massive injury in friendly Scamacca will soon undergo surgery after tearing the ACL, the MCL and a meniscus in his left knee, Mediaset informed.

Impact Scamacca suffered a non-contact injury against Parma on Sunday. The diagnosis is grim, and he's more likely than not to miss most of the season, although it'll depend on how the rehab goes. Atalanta might add another striker. They'll lean on Ademola Lookman, Charles De Ketelaere, Nicolo Zaniolo and El Bilal Toure in the meantime.
