Transfer window preview: 9 USMNT players that could change clubs in January

The January transfer window swings open a little more than a week from now. Here are nine U.S. national teamers who could be on the move.

Impact Reyna is continuing to struggle to find playing time under Edin Terzic, making just one start in 10 appearances in all competitions thus far. In that span, the midfielder has totaled 10 tackles (six won), five clearances and six chances created with BVB.

Impact Reyna has made just one start this season, so his role is limited, and his presence on the bench will not affect many fantasy lineups. He will work as a depth option in a team that's dealing with lots of injuries.

Impact Reyna had only made one start in six appearance for Dortmund, limited his role on the team since the start of the season. With the list of injured player, the midfielder could see another rare start in the midfield if he recovers in time for Saturday.

Picks up cold Reyna picked up a cold and is now questionable for Saturday's match against Leipzig, according to manager Edin Terzic. "Unfortunately, Gio Reyna has joined us due to a cold."

Impact Reyna may not be an option for the weekend after picking up an illness leading up to the match. The club hopes he possibly will be an option for Wednesday's Pokal match, and they won't have to wait for the weekend to test the player's fitness. However, if he doesn't play Wednesday, he will be a game-time decision on Saturday. His absence shouldn't affect the squad too much if he isn't an option, as he only holds a rotational role, starting once all season.

Impact Reyna has begun to carve out a substantial bench role, though he's made just a single start. The attacking midfielder doesn't seem likely to earn any sort of starting role, which is frustrating due to his clear talent. Still unless Reyna starts producing off the bench he will find it hard to displace Julian Brandt or Marco Reus.
