Yan Eteki - Out with muscular strain
Eteki is dealing with a mild left thigh strain, his club announced Thursday.
Impact
Eteki should be able to recover before the season begins Aug 16 against Villarreal. As a backup option in the midfield. he may not even start competitive matches as long as the preferred options are fit.

ROTOWIRE
Luis Milla - Plays in friendly
Milla featured in Monday's friendly against Linense.
Impact
Milla didn't play much in 2021 due to struggles in recovering from muscular injuries but it looks like he'll have a better start for the coming campaign. As a solid box-to-box midfielder, Milla could hold decent value if he's able to stay on the pitch consistently.

ROTOWIRE
Luis Abram - Signs with Granada
Abram signed with Granada as a free agent on Saturday.
Impact
Abram most recently played for Velez Sarsfield in Argentina and his performances with the Peruvian national team helped earn him a first foray into Europe. Though his playing time hasn't been ideal from a starting perspective, it wouldn't be surprising to see him get plenty of playing time as German Sanchez climbs in age and can't play as frequently.

ROTOWIRE
Monchu Rodríguez - Joins Granada
Monchu transferred to Granada from Barcelona on Friday.
Impact
Monchu came through Barcelona's academy before spending last season on loan with Girona, which barely missed out on promotion. As a younger player who made 39 appearances and scored three goals during his loan, Monchu could have plenty of value if he can stay healthier than his new teammates did in the 2020/21 campaign.

ROTOWIRE
Angel Montoro - Tests positive for COVID-19
Montoro tested positive for COVID-19, his club announced Wednesday.
Impact
Montoro can't seem to catch a break with his fitness and is now in isolation to start preseason. He should be good to go when the league campaign begins as long as nothing else arises and take on an important role as a passer from deep in the midfield.

ROTOWIRE
Carlos Bacca - Signs with Granada
Bacca signed with Granada on Tuesday.
Impact
Bacca had left Villarreal when his contract expired and will move further south as he joins his new club. Once a double-digit goalscorer every season, Bacca hasn't played a meaningful role at club level since the 2017/18 campaign. This should change next season, where he could easily lead the line alongside Luis Javier Suarez, with Jorge Molina available to back them up.

ROTOWIRE
Robert Kenedy - Misses last four matches
Kenedy missed the final four matches of the season with a hamstring injury.
Impact
Kenedy scored four times and provided three assists in 28 league matches before his season was ended prematurely. He's been loaned out from Chelsea in basically every season since 2015, and it remains to be seen if Granada can keep him without spending beyond their budget.

ROTOWIRE
Angel Montoro - Ends season with 22 appearances
Montoro made 17 league starts from 22 appearances and contributed eight more in the Europa League this season.
Impact
Montoro doesn't have much fantasy value as a deep-lying playmaker in a bad defensive team, but it was still a promising season as he made over 30 appearances across all competitions. If he can put together a healthy offseason, Montoro could have even more to offer in the coming campaign.

ROTOWIRE
Yangel Herrera - Ends season injured
Herrera missed the final three matches of the season with a thigh injury.
Impact
Herrera was a key piece to the pie in helping Granada reach the quarterfinals of the Europa League, but may be too costly for the club to keep him next season. He'll likely return to parent club Manchester City before his next destination is decided.

•
ROTOWIRE
Carlos Neva - Misses end of season
Neva missed the final six games of the season with a hamstring injury.
Impact
Neva finished the campaign with 22 appearances in La Liga and 10 more in the Europa League, though the increase in matches may have led to his injuries. He'll have a competition on his hands for the left-back spot next season as Quini finished the year in decent form.

ROTOWIRE
Rui Silva - Ends season on bench
Silva was left on the bench for Sunday's scoreless draw with Getafe.
Impact
Silva only played in one of the final six matches of the season due to a groin injury and a desire to stay fit before this summer's Euros, as eventually received a call-up to the Portuguese national team. After being one of the best goalies in the league and in fantasy during his first La Liga season, Silva conceded the second-most goals of any 'keeper with 55 shipped in 32 starts. This bad record isn't entirely indicative of his skills, as Silva still secured multiple wins and kept his team in games with major saves. He'll be worth following next season whether or not he's still with Granada.

ROTOWIRE
Aaron Escandell - Keeps clean sheet in draw
Aaron kept a clean sheet and made two saves during Sunday's scoreless draw with Getafe.
Impact
Aaron was able to keep his first league clean sheet in five tries after becoming the starter late in the season. He was promoted to this role first due to Rui Silva's groin injury, but Silva's naming to Portugal's Euro roster and potential move away from the club kept Aaron's name in the lienup each game. With some notable performances in major matches over the last two seasons, Aaron could certainly be a reliable option in goal if he does become the starter next season as well.

ROTOWIRE
Darwin Machis - Plays second half in finale
Machis took two shots (both off target) and logged four inaccurate crosses during Sunday's scoreless draw with Getafe.
Impact
Machis came off the bench in each of the final two games of the season after featuring regularly in league, UEL and Copa del Rey matches. His final tally came out to five goals and five assists in La Liga, plus one more of each from the Europa League. By offering a steady 5.52 crosses per 90 all season as well, Machis offers consistent production even if his team's system isn't conducive to huge goal tallies from any attacker.

•
ROTOWIRE
Luis Suarez - Takes two shots in draw
Suarez took two shots (one on goal) during Sunday's scoreless draw with Getafe.
Impact
Suarez finished off his first season of top-flight football with five goals and one assist in 27 league appearances (18 starts). With a major hamstring injury hampering his form in 2021, it's worth keeping an eye on Suarez in the coming seasons as he's been a productive player in Spain's second division as well.

•
ROTOWIRE
Fede Vico - Creates two chances in draw
Vico created two chances from nine crosses (one accurate) during Sunday's scoreless draw with Granada.
Impact
Vico started in two of the final three matches of the season and made nine starts from 20 appearances overall. He doesn't appear to be up to starting caliber in La Liga, or at least not with Granada.
MAY 24, 2021
•
ROTOWIRE
Jorge Molina - Shotless in draw
Molina played for 70 minutes of Sunday's scoreless draw with Getafe.
Impact
Molina faced off with his former club in this game, but as his current club was set up in a very defensive formation, there was little he could do to break the deadlock. As a 39-year-old player, Molina was one of the veteran stars of the season with eight goals in La Liga and two more during Granada's run in the Europa League.

ROTOWIRE
Victor Diaz - On bench for season finale
Diaz made the bench for Sunday's match against Getafe.
Impact
Club captain Diaz returned after his positive COVID-19 test and will hope to play for a short appearance in the final game of the season.
MAY 23, 2021
•
ROTOWIRE
Jesus Vallejo - Starting Sunday
Vallejo made the starting lineup for Sunday's match against Getafe.
Impact
Vallejo had been out for the last month before returning to the lineup in the season finale. He'll potentially play at left-back, as no natural option has been named to that spot.

•
ROTOWIRE
Quini - Picks up fifth booking
Quini will miss Saturday's season finale against Getafe after picking up his fifth yellow card of the season.
Impact
Quini started in 12 of his 19 appearances this season and in six of the last seven matches due to injuries to Victor Diaz and Carlos Neva. While next season is likely to see more competition for opportunities at left-back, it's more impressive to see Quini play regulary in 2021 after returning from almost a year out with a torn ACL.

ROTOWIRE
Domingos Duarte - Out Saturday
Duarte will miss Saturday's match against Getafe after picking up his fifth yellow card of the season.
Impact
Duarte missed much of April through injury before retuning for three matches in May, though not a single game was one. It's been a better season for Duarte through his call-ups to the Portuguese national team than with Granada, which are on track to concede the most goals in La Liga. He'll now look to stay fresh and hope for selection in this summer's Euro tournament.

ROTOWIRE
Aaron Escandell - Concedes four in loss
Aaron conceded four goals and made five saves during Sunday's 4-2 loss to Deportivo Alaves.
Impact
Aaron started in goal despite Rui Silva's return to fitness but he wasn't able to stem the tide as eight goals have been conceded over the last two matches. No matter who plays next, the season finale against Getafe should be easier against a team that has scored just 28 goals in 37 matches.
MAY 17, 2021
•
ROTOWIRE
Darwin Machis - Logs assist off bench
Machis provided one assist from one chance created in 33 minutes off the bench during Sunday's 4-2 loss to Deportivo Alaves.
Impact
Machis has now scored two goals and provided one assist over the last five matches. He's done well this season to contribute the most total goals of any player on his team and will face a tough Getafe defense in the season finale.
MAY 17, 2021
•
ROTOWIRE
Antonio Puertas - Scores in loss
Puertas scored one goal on his only shot while playing in the second half of Sunday's 4-2 loss to Deportivo Alaves.
Impact
Puertas tends to make a lot happen without much of the ball as he scored on his only attempt of the game. He'll hope to have played his way back into a starting role for the season finale against Getafe, which have conceded 43 goals in 37 matches this season.
MAY 17, 2021
•
ROTOWIRE
Luis Suarez - Provides assist in loss
Suarez provided one assist from two chances created during Sunday's 4-2 loss to Deportivo Alaves.
Impact
Suarez contributed to a goal for the first time since suffering a serious hamstring injury in early February. He'll get one more chance to play this season against Getafe, which have conceded 43 goals in 37 matches.
MAY 17, 2021
•
ROTOWIRE
Jorge Molina - Scores again in loss
Molina scored one goal on his only shot during Sunday's 4-2 loss to Deportivo Alaves.
Impact
Molina scored for the second straight match and the third time in his last five appearances. As he seldom takes more than one shot in a game, his fantasy floor isn't very high, but a matchup with former club Getafe could be an interesting encounter to finish out the season.
