Out 2-4 weeks Zardes will miss the rest of the regular season with an MCL sprain he suffered in last week's draw against Nashville, according to Jacob Meyers of the Columbus Dispatch. Impact Zardes' regular season is over, and with Columbus five points out of a playoff spot with three games to go, he is likely done for 2021 overall. This was his worst year in MLS since joining the Crew, with nine goals and no assists in 21 appearances (18 starts). But there were mitigating factors as he missed most of July while competing with the USMNT in the Gold Cup and then missed a few games with a hamstring injury in late August-early September. Miguel Berry will likely continue as the forward for the remainder of the campaign, but expect Zardes to be back and raring to go come March.
