Renews contract Sotelo has signed a new contract with Celta, according to his club.

Impact Sotelo will not be leaving Celta for a few more seasons after working out a new contract until 2028. He has held more of a rotational role this campaign, starting in three of his eight appearances on the team sheet. That said, this is an extension for the future, as the midfielder is only 20.

Impact Sotelo left early last week against Granada with a knock, but has recovered in time to start for Celta on Sunday. The midfielder had his first goal involvement of the season during last week's match.

Impact Sotelo made his first career start for Celta Vigo and was tied for the most crosses sent in by a member of the team. Unfortunately for the midfielder only one of his five crosses was accurate. The 19-year-old also recorded one chance created and three tackles. It is yet to be seen whether he will be in the starting lineup when they face Real Sociedad on Saturday.
