Impact Taremi played little after an injury and didn't make an impact, but the coach fielded him along with Lautaro Martinez and Marcus Thuram in a late push, which would be a sound way for him to get minutes besides some natural rotation. He tallied two goals and two assists in seven Champions League tilts last season.

Impact Bastoni was more active offensively than on the defensive end, which often happens when Inter managed to take command, but they gave up two goals in this one. He recorded three assists, 30 key passes and 89 crosses in 2023/2024.

Pierluigi Gollini managed to save his lone chance on a close-range header. He was Serie A's top scorer with 24 goals last season, adding two more in the Champions League and three assists.

He still produced despite the limited role last season, putting up seven goals and three assists.

However, his efforts weren't enough for his side to come away with the full spoils. He recorded 13 goals and seven assists in the past campaign.

He saved a late PK but Junior Messias bagged the rebound. He also had a pair of misplaced passes and punts throughout the game. He'll look to right the ship versus Lecce on Saturday. He'll alternate with Stefan de Vrij in the middle of the defense like last season.
