Disappointing debut season Grbic conceded 25 goals and made 37 clean sheets in nine appearances (all starts) this past season.

Impact Grbic joined the club in January from Athletico Madrid and did not get off the best start. He started nine games during the second half and conceded multiple goals in all but one start. Despite his disappointing debut season, with Wes Foderingham leaving the club, Grbic has a chance to be the No. 1 next season in the Championship.

JUNE 12 • ROTOWIRE

Allows four in loss Grbic made five saves and conceded four goals during Saturday's 4-1 loss against Burnley.

Impact Grbic had another rough day in the net, getting beaten twice in a two-minute span during the closing stages of the first half and then allowing two more goals during the final frame. The 37 saves he made since taking over as the starting goalkeeper are a nice number, but at the same time they are not enough to compensate the 25 goals allowed during the same stretch.

APRIL 23 • ROTOWIRE

Concedes two goals Grbic registered four saves and allowed two goals in Saturday's 2-0 loss to Brentford.

Impact An Oliver Arblaster own goal and Frank Onyeka's last-minute goal gave Grbic another game without a clean sheet. The goalkeeper is still looking for his first one this season, and an April 20 game against Burnley is the next chance he has to get back on track.

Impact Grbic has allowed 17 goals in six matches since taking over the full-time starting role from Wes Foderingham and is without a clean sheet in that span. Up next is a trip to Brentford on Saturday.

Six saves in loss Grbic registered six saves and allowed three goals in Thursday's 3-1 loss versus Liverpool.

Impact Grbic stopped six shots Thursday and still conceded three goals during the disappointing loss. The goalkeeper will have far more manageable matches to look forward to in the future, though Sheffield United offer him next to no help. Grbic will continue to face major volume in nearly every match.

APRIL 4 • ROTOWIRE

Nine saves in draw at Vitality Grbic completed nine saves and conceded two goals in Saturday's 2-2 draw with AFC Bournemouth. In addition, he was given a yellow card in the 72nd minute.

Impact Grbic played his part to ensure the Blades took something from their encounter with Bournemouth Saturday. He saved nine of the 12 shots he faced on goal through a series of heroic saves and interventions. The Croatian took the starting keeper position in January when he joined the club from Atletico Madrid. He has yet to keep a clean sheet, but is hindered by a weak defensive line in front of him.

MARCH 11 • ROTOWIRE

Concedes six in loss Grbic recorded four saves and allowed six goals in Monday's 6-0 defeat against Arsenal.

Impact Although he managed a new season high with four saves in the match, things could not have gone much worse for Grbic, who also conceded a season-high six goals. This marked just the third appearance of the campaign for Grbic, who will have to work hard to move past such a devastating loss. It is likely he will be back in a substitute role soon, while Wes Foderingham remains the number one keeper. Up next for Sheffield is a meeting with AFC Bournemouth on Saturday.

MARCH 6 • ROTOWIRE

Impact Grbic was back in the lineup with Wes Foderingham starting on the bench. He's only seen two appearances with Sheffield United, allowing three goals while making just a save.

Cleared to play Grbic (concussion) has been cleared to play ahead of Sunday's contest against Brighton, Danny Hall of The Star announced Friday.

Impact Grbic had missed the club's two most recent matches after taking a blow to the head against Crystal Palace on Jan. 30, but he has now been cleared to return this week. The club will now have a question on their hands, as they chose Grbic over normal starter Wes Foderingham for one match before going down with the concussion and will now have to choose between the two again. It is totally up in the air right now on who will be picked, and most will not know until game time, but as of now, Foderingham should be expected to get the start again despite Grbic's resurgence in health.

Impact Grbic is set to miss out another match with a concussion. Wes Foderingham is still expected to remain the number one keeper for the team, allowing 57 goals in 23 appearances.

In concussion protocol Grbic (concussion) is out for Saturday's clash with Aston Villa, Sheffield United announced.

Impact Grbic suffered the concussion during Tuesday's match against Crystal Palace. Wes Foderingham came on to replace him and will be back in the starting XI for Saturday's clash with Villa. Grbic's first chance to clear protocols will be a Feb. 10 trip to Luton Town.

Impact Grbic came off badly in a collision and was forced off early in the second half. It appears he will be the starter ahead of Wes Foderingham when both are fit, but with Grbic sidelined Foderingham could see at least a few more starts. The first chance for Grbic to return is a Saturday clash with Aston Villa on short rest.

Joins Sheffield United Grbic has completed a transfer to Sheffield United from Atletico Madrid and signed on a deal until 2027.

Impact Grbic figures to compete for the starting gig as soon as this weekend, though Wes Foderingham still figures to remain the No. 1. Grbic has been a backup at Atletico the majority of the last few seasons behind Jan Oblak, though there's a chance he signed this deal to actually see the pitch. When Oblak was injured at the end of last season, Grbic kept just one clean sheet in the final eight matches.

JANUARY 26 • ROTOWIRE

Concedes once in 85 minutes Grbic allowed a goal while making five saves during Saturday's match against Villareal.

Impact Grbic conceded a goal in the ninth minute, but held Villarreal from there until his substitution in the 85th minute. Grbic ends the season allowing 12 goals in 12 appearances while making 36 saves and keeping one clean sheet.

JUNE 4, 2023 • ROTOWIRE

Makes four saves in win Grbic recorded four saves and allowed one goal in Sunday's 2-1 win versus Real Sociedad.

Impact Grbic did well for most of the game, but conceded in the 88th minute. The goalkeeper also matched his second-most saves in the campaign so far. He has one clean sheet in seven starts since taking over from the injured Jan Oblak, and will look for his second in the season finale at Villarreal on Sunday.

Impact Likely because the team has little room for error, Grbic was tasked to face an Espanyol squad solely focused on attacking football. After logging 10 saves across his five appearances between April 26 and May 21, he got that same 10 tally during Atletico Madrid's game Wednesday. However, Grbic was unable to save more than 77 percent of Espanyol's shots on goal, as the team scored thrice past him regardless.

Impact Grbic got the start for the fifth straight game with Jan Oblak (neck) sidelined, and he responded with his first shutout of the campaign. Given Atletico has already clinched a Champions League berth and Oblak remains out, Grbic should remain in the XI for the final games of the season.

Impact Grbic was on his way for his first clean sheet of the season, until a careless foul from Jose Gimenez led to a penalty kick that was made by Radamel Falcao. Impact Grbic had to replace the injured Jan Oblak to finish out a difficult road contest and did well in relief.
